David Smith is the Managing Director of Risk Consulting (davidrsmith) Ltd and has a wide range of experience stretching over 35 years.
Experience
David has travelled extensively covering mainland Europe and the Middle / Far East and has experience in a range of industries including hotels, food, paper, chemicals, pharmaceutical, automotive, retail parks, logistics and warehousing in general. This includes cross class co-ordination of clients’ risk management needs. He has often assisted in placing insurance business and with claims negotiations. The provision of training is also an aspect of the work he undertakes that extends through a range of risk associated subjects.
As a fire protection engineer he is able to project manage the installation of fire protection services such as sprinkler systems. This includes the design of sprinkler systems using the software programme available including a CAD facility for drawing preparation so as to enable clients to obtain quotations for systems on a like for like basis. He has also evaluated many existing sprinkler systems with the intention to enable clients to gain maximum benefit from their installation and to endeavour to save unnecessary capital expenditure.
